INTODUCING
Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political medical student organization with activity-based projects.
CIMSA consists of 6 standing committees related to health issues. Those are:
Standing Committee on Medical Education
Standing Committee on Professional Exchange
Standing Committee on Public Health
Standing Committee on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights Including HIV & AIDS
Standing Committee on Research Exchange
Standing Committee on Human Rights And Peace
Being established since May 6th, 2001. CIMSA currently maintains 26 locals and 1 observers spread in various Faculty of Medicine throughout Indonesia and continues to grow.
Since 2002, CIMSA has been affiliated with International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), the biggest students’ organization in the world who has been recognized by United Nations.
Through its tagline, “Empowering Medical Students, Improving Nation’s Health”, CIMSA provides many opprotunnities to increase the capacity of Indonesian medical students and use the capacities and capabilities to nourish and educate the nation in the effort to actively improve the nation’s health and world’s health by real activities in community.
Ever since 2004, CIMSA FK UNS has taken part to be one of the center for medical students’ activites in Sebelas Maret University participating in our nation’s health improvement.
